Two childhood friends, two great young men, and we were lucky to share three great games with them

Pretty sure Colter's offer/scholly went to Cody Green-pending confirmation.

Edit. Check that. Brion Carnes maybe. Cant recall for sure. Fail either way.

Colter was in class of 2010, as was Kenny Bell. After Tyler Gabbert de-committed, NU was scrambling for another option at QB. NU went with Carnes, instead of Colter (who was interested).

I guess bright side is at least we got one of them. KB could have went to NW right along with Colter. Then we would never have known the magic of the Fro.

Letting players like this slip through their fingers is exactly why Colorado sucks.
No kidding. Bell was in Boulder, wanting to go to CU, they didn't recruit him. I don't know if CU recruited Colter, but he was at Cherry Creek high, which is one of the best high school programs in the state.

Nice post knapp. Little known fact- Kain Colter is the nephew of a guy (I believe his sisters son) that works next door to my business. They're quite proud of him and rightfully so. He seems to be a class act.

Are you sure that's accurate? I mean judging by your username it seems like you would know, but I thought I remembered an interview with Kenny where someone was asking why he didn't go to Colorado and his response was something to the tune of "Because they're terrible."

My guess is that about 95% of every team in college football has this type of kid on its roster. That is why I hate hearing a Nebraska fan say they hate another team. We are talking about quality young men, kids with a passion, a work ethic. I am sure all have exceptions, and we have had them to. I truly enjoyed learning this Knapplc, and I am sure you could find hundreds more

The friendship between Kain and Kenny was featured on BTN's The Journey tonight. If you can find a rerun, I highly recommend watching it. It lends a very interesting perspective to how Kenny viewed that Hail Mary.

Pretty hard to enjoy that kind of victory when it stabs your good friend in the heart.

These aren't football-player-shaped robots, which I think some people tend to ignore when they talk about certain players.

Hah! Great minds think alike, Crewe.
