Prince Amukamara and Jared Crick both will appear as preseason All-Americans when the Lindy's football annual preview hits the stands. It's the first of what could be plenty of attention for two players expected to anchor the Huskers' defense in 2010.
Amukamara, Crick and Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller are the only Lindy's first-team picks from the Big 12.
Amukamara, a senior cornerback from Glendale, Ariz., had 64 tackles and five interceptions last fall in his first season as a full-time starter. Crick, a junior defensive tackle from Cozad, Neb., had 9-1/2 sacks among his 73 total tackles.
Lindy's lists Nebraska at No. 11 in its preseason Top 25, with Texas at No. 4, Oklahoma at No. 9 and Iowa at No. 10.
The Hawkeyes have defensive lineman Adrian Clayborn on the first-team All-American unit and safety Tyler Sash as a second-teamer. Second-team players from the Big 12 are Colorado offensive lineman Nate Solder and Oklahoma linebacker Travis Lewis and defensive end Jeremy Beal.
The Big 12 edition of Lindy's is scheduled to go on sale on June 15.
