Tyler Gabbert withdraws commitment

No surprise. A Gabbert is a Gabbert. Let's do a Josh Freeman on both of them and make sure that they never beat the school they decommitted from.

If true, so be it. I think Gabbert could have done well here, but I have always thought Sean Robinson would be a great fit here and I think if Gabbert truly decommits we should get in contact with Sean. He was pretty high on Nebraska before the Gabbert commit and I think he would love to still come here.

I don't think this is true but if it is it makes no sense. With how bad our current QB play is he can come in and compete to win the starting job on day 1. I also don't think SW is gone.

Where did you hear Robinson was still interested in us? He hasn't wavered since his early commitment to Purdue.

Really have no idea on this one? Just late yesterday afternoon,Bryan Munson from big red report said that he was pretty confident that Gabbert would stay and that NU was still high on Carter's list. If this is true, it tells me that maybe Carter and Gabbert are tight and they got together and will both end up at MU.

a mod from one of the pay services posted that Gabbert has de-committed. said that they were in the process of confirming it with Tyler.

i think it has more to do with Tyler and Curtis visiting MU this weekend and the coaches told them that if they insisted on looking around then NU wasnt going to hold their 'ships.

I dont like it if they have decided to move on because I feel both could do very well here at NU, but there is still time until signing day, and I will not lose any sleep.

We just better get a QB recruit in this class...I've almost gotten to the point of I don;t care who it is just as long as we get 1.

Why would Gabbert want to go to MU and sit on the bench for 3 more years so he can play two seasons at most?

He could come in next and have a chance to win the starting job.

CC and Gabbert sure seem close minded if they can't realize our offense looks so bad because we don't have a choice. If they both come, our offense would open way up (if they are any good-which is not proven yet).

At least we know what our number one priority is for the rest of the recruiting class: quarterback.
i'm not convinced it's a huge need this class unless we can get a really good one. we've got young QB's in spano, green and martinez and bigger needs at other positions.
