Tyler Gabbert withdraws commitment

Absolutely, 100% expected. You could see this coming from 100 miles away. We'll have to hope Green turns out to be a good quarterback, and nab a top recruit next year.

what a toolbag. Even if he re-commits to NU, I hope bo doesn't take him back. We don't need more people like him.

4 star ATH Curtis Carter decommitted earlier this week. You have to have a rivals access to get full story but that guy is gone as well.

Makes you wonder why he and Carter decommited, doesn't it?

No... Gabbert decommitting should be no surprise. Carter decomitted because he didn't like our style of offense when he watched the Big 12 Championship game, claiming we just "ran and ran over and over again."

Why would a kid like Carter decommit when he can see plain as day that he could come in here and possibly even start as a Freshman? Why would Gabbert decommit when he's a huge fan of Shawn Watson?

Think about it:

Watson recruited Gabbert. Gilmore recruited Carter.

Both the QB and WR positions have floundered this year, embarrassingly so.

Both Gilmore and Watson are holdovers from the Callahan Era.

I don't know if there's even smoke here, let alone fire, but it does point in the direction of possible change at those two positions.

I wouldn't worry, we just need to get guys that fit our offense. Let's start looking for four-star...

...quarterbacks that love throwing the ball 39 yards per game.

...running backs that love having to make their own holes and running out of goalline sets for two yards per carry.

...receivers that love getting thrown hail marys down the sidelines with double coverage, and the occasional three-yard hitch

...tight ends that love getting thrown to once per game on average

...offensive linemen that love being coached by a line coach with ZERO history of success.

If we can just track these guys down, we'll be in great shape.
