UCLA 11am kickoff

I like that it gives us a time advantage over UCLA. I don't like that this is not going to be a large national viewed and exposed game. I think it had a chance to help us with recruiting if it was a later game. I also saw it's set to be on ESPN. Is this true? It's not going to be on ABC? If so that hurts us too.

Why are people mad about this (or why are there so many mad gifs)? This will mess with the UCLA players' internal clocks like no other i.e. this is a good thing.
Agreed. It is certainly early and not very fan friendly. However, it is less friendly to UCLA.
It's gonna be a rude awakening for the Bruins. Playing at 9:00am. In front of the sea of red in a packed house. They hardly ever sell out the Rose Bowl. The USC game last year was the only crowd bigger than the NU game in the Rose Bowl. And it was probably half USC fans. It's like a home game for the Trojans. The Rose Bowl is closer to USC campus than to UCLA campus.

According to this it is going to be ABC. The Tulsa-f%&k*in' Hillbillies game is on ESPN or ESPN2.

It's on ABC and it's a national broadcast so..

This is good news for me personally, and especially good news for the Huskers.

Ya their team will be jetlagged. But our fans will be tired and sober, thus reducing homefield advantage significantly. Plus 11am games are garbage for recruiting and this is a major match-up for us. Guys will have just played a game the night before. We can't fly them in for a morning game. Two bad things outweigh one good, this sucks for us.

I actually like it. It's the only way we get a national game, and we'll get more viewers than if were were at the midday slot.

Obviously you want someone to argue with you, so here goes.

Having a west coast team come out and play at 11am is much more of an advantage than our normal 2:30pm homefield advantage ever could be. And actually winning the game is of much more importance than having recruits come out to watch the game. Even in terms of recruiting. The more games we win, the better our recruiting should be, hypothetically.
