It’s a 2 fold here for me. I think we will possibly see what or if Dana can still call a potentent offensive game plan. Most of his offenses’s have been dual threat qb’s if i can recall. I could be wrong. DR isn’t really a running threat. I think EJ and TJ gonna have a nice Zone Read game plan going forward. Should open up the pass game. Fingers crossed.TJ gets to go against his hometown teams 2 weeks in a row.
A week of practice? I think he will be OK.
They’re going to have to let him take a few shots.Hopefully they will let TJ actually throw down the field.
A better bowl game, positive momentum for the program, and a short college football season compared to many sports is good enough for me.this would have been such a fun away game if we had beat usc, but now it's just kind of meaningless
i guess i'll tune into see lateef

He had several pass plays called down the field against usc. He ended up not liking the look and ran on them. You guys should watch post game interviews.Hopefully they will let TJ actually throw down the field.

I don't think it is fair to group Dylan and TJ's downfield throws. The kid was thrown in unexpectedly and his instincts took over to run when he didn't see what he wanted to see on the long throws. He obviously has the willingness and capability as we have seen from his earlier season passes against weaker competition. If all our QBs are scared to throw the ball down the field, that would seem to be an issue with more than just the QBs.
There was one of his runs where he pulled it down and ran where it looked like there was a huge hole and he could have gone 20+ yards. It was the right decision. Then, one linemen lost his block and TJ was tripped up for a short gain. Right decision, just a good play by a defensive lineman.I don't think it is fair to group Dylan and TJ's downfield throws. I do think there is a different conversation to have regarding DR and coaching.

Each throw is different. But if the mindset is similar, it seems like that could be how they are getting coached to make the decisions. And being too risk-averse leads to being too conservative. And we aren't good enough to be able to be that conservative.

That was a designed QB draw fyi. Unfortunately the defense line did a twist right into the running lane. There was one of his runs where he pulled it down and ran where it looked like there was a huge hole and he could have gone 20+ yards. I don't always watch but I specifically wanted to hear what TJ said.IDK about anyone else, but I'm personally immune to post-game Coach Speak after listening to Frost tell me how great the previous week of practice was after all 30 losses. I'll sometimes leave the TV on and listen, but I usually enter a fugue state most of the time. Is Rhule telling the truth about those play calls? Who knows.
