from the game day thread i learned that TJ, EJ, and Ekeler are the only people on the team who don't suck

Other people have noted the positive OL play, thought i would too...throughout the game, when they would run replay after an EJ run you would constantly see our OL rolling up their defensive players and be a yard or so beyond EJ just pancaking dudes to the ground...good stuff

I learned that after 20+ years of losing more than we won, some Husker fans are broken and incapable of being happy during and after a solid victory.
Was it perfect? No, honestly it never will be but the offense looked great with the #2 QB and the defense kept them from scoring more points than we did. I’ve been told numerous times over the last decade that the final score is what really matters. Yet, somehow, this just wasn’t good enough for some of ya’ll to quitcher bitchin for 5 minutes. For f**ks sake try to enjoy it.

Honestly, this is our first close win I felt pretty good about. A lot of good things happened and this could have been a pretty lopsided win with a few bigger stops on D.
The team seemed to have more juice and played clean. Cincy was ok, but I feel better about this one. We haven’t played good football. They did yesterday.

Wow, I must have missed all the prolific offenses ranked inside the Top 89 or even averaging 350 per game in the nation not named USC, Cincy(37) or Michigan(41) on the schedule

I'm with you. I don't think White even belongs in the same conversation with Butler at this point. Butler has been far more consistent and is doing it with a young D-Line.
I don't understand the philosophy behind the formations in the 3-3-5 that present compromised outside leverage, but that's less a criticism than simply admitting I'm not well versed on the defense, & don't like daring teams to run into a physical weakness by presenting a formational one.

It depends on what you mean by "offense". This specific unit or this scheme? NU's current receivers really struggle getting separation vs man. The QB could be a statue if that weren't true.

If you take out the good offenses we have played, then we have only played bad offenses.

I think I have learned that Dana may have been putting too much on DR’s plate and expecting too much of him pre-snap and during the play. This offense played much much better with at most 2 reads then bail with simplified play calls
Oline functions better, QB functioned good and the run game looked better. Next year add a few more quirks since the QB’s will be more advanced. The offense up too a week or so ago was just too time consuming and our QB had paralysis by analysis and the line couldn’t hold up that long.
