As a semi-follower of Arsenal (with a big assist lately from Google Now, without which I would have no idea when their games were) I'm both happy for Arse fans (
) that they won their Champions League group this year, finally...
and kind of amused that they might draw Real or Bayern anyway in the Round of 16.
For context, I believe Arsenal have a UCL history of coming up 2nd in group play, leading to very unfavorable matchups against powerhouse clubs in the very first round of the playoffs -- the Barcelonas, Real Madrids, and Bayern Munichs of the world. First seeds are paired with second seeds.
So of course this year they finally top the group, and Bayern and Real finish 2nd in theirs. While PSG, which faltered to give Arsenal the first seed, could draw Leicester (which I suppose won their group) as 'punishment.'
Don't back down, though! You can take on Bayern. Maybe.
