You know I bet Brooke wouldn't want his number retired, and I don't think it should be retired, but that's just me.

Ya, its a slippery slope, and I understand veiw points from both sides but I'm gonna have to agree with you. The # should be allowed as long as its seen as an honor to be worn.

I am pretty sure Jamal Lord didnt get picked up as a NFL runningback but a Defensive back.. He was on the Texans roster as a safety for a couple years...... But he was a hell of a player just not a Qb...
