So, I found out that their new CD was coming out, and I started thinking, "No Michael Anthony, its gonna suck. Wolfgang can't be that good, I'm sure David Lee Roth has lost some of his magic on the mic", but I figured that noting could be as bad as Van Halen 3. So I end up getting it from my Wife for part of my Birthday gift from my Wife, and it honestly ROCKS! To be quite honest, its kind of refreshing that David Lee Roth, doesn't scream into the mic for a change.

 
I used to collect their albums..Does it still sound like it was recorded in their basement?

I seem to remember quite a bit of high frequency hiss in prev. albums.."specially when Sammy was with them.

 
The funny thing with that album is that it really isn't 'new' songs. They mostly recorded songs that didn't make it onto older albums. Can't really say I'm a Van Halen fan. Just never connected for me.

Man, I did, too. That song is just...terrible. I have a friend who is a big time Van Halen fan and said, in his opinion, that it is the worst song on the album. I haven't heard the whole album yet, but it can't be worse than Tattoo.

 
I'd forgotten I heard that somewhere online..I was embarrassed for them..The song title seems appropiate now.
