Did anyone see Barner play this week? None of those other guys are close.

Voted for Martinez.

 
With all due respect to Taylor, I have to be honest and say that either Barner or Manziel deserve to win this award more than a guy who threw 3 picks. I still love Taylor, but that is my honest opinion.

 
Taylor had a good game, great rushing, but in no way is he on the level of Barner. He deserves it for sure. I never vote on these things, but it is nice to see Taylor getting some national love.

I'm sure there's some nobility in voting for a player on another team... but I'm not that noble. I voted for Martinez. He's the guy who chose to play here, and that trumps everything in my book.

 
For those of you who think Barner should get the vote, look at that pathetic defense he played. Anyone could put up big numbers in a track race. Martinez put up his numbers on the 5th best D in the country! Gets my vote.

5th best D statistically. I don't think they're the 5th best defense.

I'm fairly confident one could find five defenses better than MSU's in just the SEC alone.

 
I voted for Martinez and don't forget Gina Mancuso over on the HB Volleyball side. She is now losing by only a handful of votes. I would have provided a link, but I already voted. Maybe someone can provide a clean link.

I'd say there are definitely three in the SEC better than MSU (Bama, LSU, and Florida). In other conferences though, are there any/many?

MSU has a pretty stout D and are pretty good at each level with Gholston/Bullough/Dennard.
