From the Chicago Tribune: Strong safety Mike Brown is in a virtual tie with Dallas' Roy Williams, a fraction of 1 percent behind in the total vote.

If we can get Herbie into the final four of a mascot vote then we can try to get Mike Brown into the Pro Bowl

There are other guys to vote for like Demarrio Williams (LB), Dejuan Groce (CB), Mike Brown (SS), Josh Bullocks, Will Shields..ETC. Keep your eyes open. There are about 10 Huskers listed i believe

I guess this is where I differ from some people. I vote for the best talent not because they were a Husker. To me Roy Williams is having a better year then Brown. However Will Shields has been a stud for the past decade and will continue to get my vote!

Have you watched a bear game? Mike Brown is the second best player on the best defense in the NFL. He having a much better year than Williams.

As a dallas cowboys fan I'm going to disagree with you on that one. Roy Williams is one of the worst pass defending safeties in the NFL. He let santana moss catch two long touchdown passes in the last three minutes of the game to come back and win. Then he tried to give the NYG game away too. I mean sure he hits hard and he broke Terrell Owens' leg, but other than that what good has he been?

No the CB let Moss catch two long passes. Safties are there to help out the CB's but the ultimate responsibility is on the Corner. He also took one to the house against the Eagles to end that game. I just think Roy means more to this D then Brown does to Chicago. Reason being is Chicago has really good Corners and Dallas doesn't, yet they still find ways to contain the pass. With a big part coming from Roy Williams. That's all! ;)

Really? So when they're playing a cover 2 zone ( as they were), the safety isn't responsible for giving over-the-top coverage? If I'm not mistaken, Moss hit them over the top. But even if this isn't the case he still let Jeremy shockey run all over god's green earth in the last minute and a half of the Giants game. <_<

Anyway, Mike Brown, IMO, is a better safety than roy williams. I also think he's a better leader for the secondary and defense as a whole, eventhough I'm sure Brian Urlacher is the true leader of their defense.

You are correct about Dallas needing better corners though. Maybe I'll put that on my wish list for christmas....

Chicago has horrible corners!!!! These are the exact same corners they had on a horrible defense last year that was missing an injured Mike Brown. Mike Brown is the only thing that holds the bear's pass defense together.

Hmm horrible eh? Vasher takes one to the house this week and two weeks ago he runs a missed FG back. If that is your version of a horrible CB I would hate to see what your expectations are of a good one!
