Want to see Abdullah returning punts again

Ok, what's the story on Panico. I was probably too young to have a clue what was going on there.

He was put back there to catch the ball. And that's about all he did. I think he probably averaged about 2 yds per return.

 
Would Turner or Heard be good candidates? Turner already runs in a figure eight pattern so he might be a natural.

 
I think Bell is our best candidate. He doesn't get enough catches in the game to really show all of his talent. Unlike Turner, he doesn't backtrack to try to gain yards, which I know every single one of you scream when he does lol. I am happy when it works, but I am yelling "Don't run backwards!!!".

Bell, Ameer or Kyler Reed in my opinion. Kyler is fast enough to get the job done, and pretty much a sure hand.

 
Ameer is pretty banged up and I would guess that's why he's not back there much as of late. QE has a separated shoulder so he's not going back there. I would guess Bell or Turner would be the choices but right now we need them as relievers as much as anything and the way we block anyone back there is a sitting target. I think it's time Carnes takes a few.

 
Panico was probably the best on the team at catching the ball. That was the idea Callahan's first year. Just get the ball. He probably fair catched 99.9976% of the time. He would have a 15 yard cushion from his own 5 and would fair catch. Dont remember him ever muffing one though, hence, I'd take him today. I get nervous every punt now again. I thought them days left with Niles.

I have no desire to see our starting RB returning punts. I know he's great at it... but I think Turner or Heard would probably do well too.

 
i don't think i've seen abdullah "return" a punt in conference play. when was the last time he didn't fair catch one? when was the last time anyone on this team tried to return one? special teams is pathetic this season considering were were widely thought to have the strongest ST in the the B1G.
