Husky fans - what "illegal tactics" are you talking about? This is the first I'm hearing about this.

I believe he's referring to our aggressive play in the defensive backfield. We bump receivers, screw up routes and put our hands on them about as much as we can up to the point of getting a flag. It's not illegal, it's just aggressive. College football has slightly different rules when it comes to covering wide receivers and we take full advantage of it.

Texas was motivated to win that game, we were not. If we come out flat, again, against UW it will be a tough game. Sayin that, I agree with Enhance and walksalone this game could turn out to be another beat down.

I strongly disagree with this. Remember "Wear Red. Be Loud. Beat Texas." Remember the last three meetings against them? That was our marquee game of the year despite Texas not being a good team, and we blew it big time.

There are reasons teams lose football games, and there are reasons teams win football games. What you're saying, seriously, makes absolutely no sense. I can't stand when one person accuses another of making excuses. There's a reason for everything. Your fans made a ton of excuses after we embarrassed you in your own stadium. You've never, ever made an excuse for losing a football game? Because there's no way you can say what you just said unless that's true, which is completely false and you know it. Washington got better throughout the season, Nebraska got injured and got worse. Washington was happy to get to the Holiday Bowl, Nebraska was upset they floundered the season no matter what you read in the papers.

Oh yeah, and as far as those "illegal tactics". Everything Nebraska does pushes the limit on defense. We go right up to where a referee might call it but doesn't. And we have a Top 10 defense to show for it. Your "illegal tactics" free defense was ranked what, again?

I might be wrong, but I remember "Wear red. Be loud. Beat Texas" was more for the fans. And, IMO (not saying your wrong) but the team came out that game and played flat football. No emption, no motivation again just my opinion.

I remember an article in Sports Illustrated before last season on the college football preview... IMO (not saying your wrong either) I think they came out over emotional. The article talked about how from the start of spring practice the locker room was covered in signs with one number- "1". That one second really upset them (Obviously...) and think we came out more concerned with revenge than playing football. We just completely lost focus of what we were trying to do.

You know, watching film on what players do and how they act to get open with certain routes?

Besides, I read a stat somewhere where Jake Locker had to throw the ball away X amount of times his Senior year, not JUST the Nebraska game, but he shockingly had to throw the ball way against other teams too. So maybe your wide receivers aren't that good?

His completion percentage would suffer from throw aways, and receivers not being open, at least I hope that was the excuse and reasoning, because my Titans drafted him and we are counting on him to be a Franchise quarterback.

So if that's the case and you had that kind of guy on your team and could still muster out a mediocre season, I know I know you are re-building, I'm not kicking you when you're down, but you came in here firing shots about our defensive tactics, if you have a mediocre season with a quarterback that went THAT high in the draft....then your receivers coach must not be that good. And if Sark is calling the plays, well he is probably calling them to the best of his teams ability, again, as a Titans fan, I at least hope that's the excuses by his Senior season stats.

Most of them come on here, pretend the non-con game didn't happen and then say Nebraska has no reason to make excuses for their Holiday Bowl loss. I'm sorry, but your fans made handfuls of excuses for why Nebraska destroyed you in the non-conference. The truth of the matter is Nebraska suffered a key injury to the most important member of our offense, a member of our offense that masked the bad consistency and execution errors Nebraska had for many games during the season. Without Martinez at full healthy, we just weren't the same team plain and simple.

There's no way you or anybody can convince me that motivation wasn't a factor in that game. Nebraska got worse after the season went a long because of injuries and poor execution on offense, and was then told they had to go to a bowl game they did not expect to fall to and play a team they had dominated earlier in the season. And by dominate, I mean we literally made you look like you didn't belong on the field once the second half started. Washington, conversely, got better as the season progressed and made it to a bowl game that realistically speaking was better than what they deserved. Washington then had the chance to face a team that embarrassed them earlier in the season. Add those two things together and you have a motivated Washington team going against a Nebraska team that failed near the end of the season and fell to a bowl game they didn't want to be in. This team had BCS prospects that they let flounder away, and somehow they're supposed to be motivated to face a less talented Washington team? I'm sorry, but your argument is faulty.

Lastly, can you please tell me how upset you are about how Nebraska plays defense and all of those "illegal tactics" they use? Honestly, I love reading you complain. Nebraska has a top 10 defense to show for it, and Washington ranked what, exactly?

I guess there's nothing left for me to say. Oh wait, I almost forgot...

p.s.2 You guys weren't that good to begin with. Taylor Martinez can't throw. No one should ever cover the pass against him. You were manhandled by a less than medicore team at home. Washington however, began the year 3-6 and then went on a tear that even Nebraska couldn't stop.

1. Injuries are apart of the game, and it can effect the outcome of a game, period.

2. Nebraska couldn't have cared less to play your sorry team again, in a bowl we played in the season before and killed a team better than yours.

3. We were a top 10 team to begin with, it might have been a little high but we still competed for our Confrence Championship, won our division, and won 10 games. And Jake Locker can't throw either how does 4-21 sound to you?

Translation: We can't handle losing, so lets make excuses. Were too weak to admit we were worse than Washington at the end of the year.

You're lucky Sark didn't figure out to run Chris Polk more in Game 1. All of Seattle saw that mismatch. Nebraska was having problems stopping him then. He figured it out in the rematch and your "physical" defense couldn't handle it.

We were worse than Washington at the end of the season, because of injuries and lack of motivation. It's apart of the game, and it does effect the outcome the game. I can use the same excuses you guys used for your Holiday Bowl explanations. We lost to BYU weeks before, we werent healthy, we werent focused but the city of Seattle takes responsibility for the own actions like MEN. We simply said "Well played" and "We'll get you next time" which we made good on.

That's what makes Seattle a world class city while Lincoln = Farmtown with excuses.
