Watching the conference

808Husker in KCMO

All-Conference
It seems like a lot of Husker fans dont watch a lot of other teams play. I see a lot of "I havent seen ______ play" in Husker threads. Maybe I benefit from living in KC, but I watch at least 4 Big 12 games a week. If a team the Cornhuskers play during the season is on TV, I watch that game. I watch Big 12 games over the National game, I watch Versus and FSN and ESPN and ABC; anywhere there is a Big 12 game.

Does everyone else focus their football watching to the conference like I do or do you watch the Nebraska game plus whatever the game of the week is?

usually watch other Big 12 teams, and Iowa games, as much as I don't like to, but for some reason can not watch a SEC or Pac 10 game.

Really? I like watching good teams play, no matter what conference they're in (except ND). I rather watch a game like Oregan vs. USC than ISU vs. KSU any day of the week.

I watch just about all the football games I can, it doesn't matter what conference. I prefer Big 12 play over any other conference, but I have watched ALOT of football this year so far, inside and outside the Big 12.

I watch as much football as I can, I am not a huge fan of Big 10 football because it just seems so boring. So I watch a lot of Big 12 and SEC when at all possible.

:dunno

I'm getting really really pisssed.

Normally, I prefer to watch our game over again on Sunday rather than fall asleep watching NFL games..I sometimes can squeeze future NU opponents in, but this season has been a little scarce. (I only saw UT/OU)..

I've only been able to watch/DVR TWO of our games so far..the rest I've had to either catch on the radio or try to get part of them online and pray for a good connection..or even went to a bar to watch one and foolishly hoped one beer would last the whole game because I'm never taking a chance at a DUI again.

What pisses me off even more is that my Ex Wife's team (tOSU) is on EVERY frikken week..I don't even think the local (ASU) team has been on more than two or three times.. :dunno

She went to school with Bo Pelini, but she wasn't even a football fan until she met me..Now she has personalized "Buckeye" plates, turned my Son into a Mama's boy Buckeye fan and now is dating another Butteye fan that I haven't met yet.. <_<

I just hope he isn't one of her students.

I've watched parts of other games..USC..Oregon twice..Boise State once..Haven't noticed Notre Dame yet this year...USF has been on 3 or 4 times..Funny..My Brother just moved to Tampa and is within Biking? distance of the USF campus...

Did they even exist five years ago? :dunno

Most Saturdays I'll bring a second small TV into the living room. Of course the Husker game gets A-1 treatment, after that the pecking order is something like this:

- Best Matchup

- High Ranked teams

- Husker opponents / Big 12

- other major conference

- other minor conference

As the games play on, I'll usually go with the close games and upsets. Also I'll go with an HD game on the big TV almost no matter what.

Watching Texas and Baylor right now. 14 - 0 with 1:56 left in the first. That Texas offense is pretty tough. They are very balanced and will take what ever is given.

Baylor is going to have a two headed monster to deal with next year because RG III will be back but that freshmen QB Florence is the truth.

Texas is taking it to them now, no doubt that they are head and tails above everyone else in the conference right now.

Texas is a good team (again).

They could very well be the Nat Champs this year.

KSU is stinking it up against Missouri right now. I would really prefer that KSU beats Missouri. I think. I really don't care for either, but all I know is we have KSU next week, and I want them coming to town with the best record possible.

I have no doubt our defense will slow down texas. But what does that mean instead of 40 they score 20. I do not believe that our offense will score a touchdown.

Agreed, I believe that you can slow the Texas offense but I also believe Texas won't allow your offense to do anything so someone said earlier that if KSU makes the Big 12 Texas destroys them but if NU makes the Big 12 I believe Texas still wins but not the blowout.
