What does everyone think will happen with Watson at the end of the season?

I personally think he was just kept in order to ease the transition and try to keep up the offensive output. I think that at the end of the year Nebraska and Watson will part ways on good terms and we'll have a new OC next season. Anyone have any thoughts?

The job will be his to lose.

 
Nah, I think he will stay. He isnt doing that badly IMO, Yes we need to run the ball more but meh. When you have a Oline taught for years to pass block you cant expect them to learn overnight to be a good run blocking team.

 
Fair enough. But does he ever have the itch to be a head-coach? I think he was interested in this job but didn't get much talk for it. I'm not saying he's doing a bad job. I'm just wondering.

 
I think he will be here next year. Our offense will be fine. Just struggled a little against a good defense. Still ended up putting 30 points on the board. I have a good feeling we are really going to play a lot better this weekend against Mizzou.

 
It's hard to say, it really depends on how we do from here on out. If the offense continue's to struggle then I think we may part ways, but if we figure out our problems and start playing better than I think he'll stay here for another year and wait for a head coaching gig somewhere.

I want watson to stay. if he leaves the job is barneys IMO

I just threw up in my mouth when I saw this.

 
He will be here next season...I don't see anyone looking at him as a HC with what is going on here now. But i also don't think he has done anything yet to lose the job.

Watson will be here for the 2009 season.

 
That's an interesting opinion, I had never even thought that before....hmmm. I don't think so though. I mean, honestly, our O isn't that bad. we score lots of points, and thats all an O really needs to do. I know people complain about all kinds of things, but at the end of the day, we do score lots of points.

even 30 pts on VaTech is pretty good. They will be one of the best D's we'll face all year.
