Waverly volleyball player Olivia Boender commits to NU

Olivia Boender didn’t need time to mull a volleyball scholarship offer from Nebraska coach John Cook on Monday night.
The powerful Waverly junior outside hitter knew what her answer would be years ago.

“Ever since our family moved here nine years ago from Des Moines, my dream was to play volleyball at Nebraska,” said Boender, who will begin her NU career in the fall of 2014. “This has been a goal of mine for a long time, and I’m excited to see it become reality.”
