We better move up in the rankings

With ND beating Penn st and BC beating Clemson we better move up in the polls. Hopefully around 15 or 18

 
NU should be in the Top 15. Great QB, great backs, solid defense, excellent coaching.

Big Red has a good team and this year's crop of college teams is decidedly down compared to other years.

Texas isn't nearly as good. USC is a fine team, but no way they are as good without Lienart, Bush and that other big back they had. Penn State is off and Notre Dame may have even had a better club last year. Ohio State is maybe better than a year ago, maybe.

I haven't looked, but Big Red should be close to the top in scoring in the nation. We haven't played anyone yet, but scoring 50 plus points per game isn't a bad thing.

 
I don't see us jumping into the Top 15 merely because of who we played. If Oregon loses (which it's tied right now 17-17, we may jump to 17, but I think #18 is more like it.

 
I wouldn't say solid defense yet Glass, USC has some talented WRs and with the injuries in our seconday in the preseason and first game, USC is going to do their best to exploit that. The big thing is if the Blackshirts front 7 can disguise the blitzes that we will bring against USC, and bring pressure to their QB; and if our secondary can cover the USC WRs, then I'll say we have a solid defense.

 
Penn St. should not be ranked after that debacle. They looked iffy against Akron and then got blown off the field. Oregon struggled against Fresno. Tennessee had trouble w/ AF. Clemson lost. FSU looked awful. I am sputtering out sentence fragments.

Nebraska needs to move up. Let the hype machine for NU/USC begin

Musburger mentioned that the other day during the OSU/UT game. All the media involved with ESPN/ABC will be voting Nebraska high to generate hype.

I wouldn't be surprised either if USC moved up into the #2 spot just to build the hype

 
Could move up a little more just to hype up the game with USC like Texas did last week with their game with Ohio St
