Did you watch him get lit up last year? He was clearly athletic, but had some bad habits (face guarding) that he's gotten away from, and he's much better for it.

It's great to see a young man fight through the kind of criticism Courtney had to deal with (not complaining and getting down on himself) and show so much heart. That's not easy to do for young kids to do. Ask McKeon.

He has played how he is capable and as well as I thought he could all along. He is pretty explosive on returns and has played well in coverage. I think he has probably been the most consistent performer on defense, maybe even the whole team this year.

I didn't expect to see this thread..Congrats to all you crow eatin' bad people.

We were driving around town all day and I was trying to listen to the game on my AM headset (which means I could only hear while we were facing NW)..Then bragging to my wife after a couple of great plays by Grix and 'splainin' to her how I was defending him on here all along..At least that's how I remember it. :woo

A couple plays, Bowman got completely turned around in zone and it resulted in some decent gains. He played alright, Murillo did ok, Green played a lot better, so did Asante, Grix played like a stud.

I noticed the same thing. Bowman seemed a bit slowed by the hammy. Blythe is a chore to cover, too.

Bowman had a pretty bad game. But yeah, I've been impressed with Grixby's play this year. It's nice to see him finally do well on a consistent basis.
