We Passed on the Alamo Bowl

I'm glad to see us get into a Bowl it is for the players, I'm not sure that I believe that we were passing on bowls, seems like and easy rumor to get rolling to make us feel more in control.

my question is, why is the cotton bowl not even an option?

They don't want us going back to Jerry World since we just played there. I don't get it, we'd still pack that house. Especially against LSU.

i get that, but i think we would still have a good showing, better than to a bowl we played last year against a team we shellacked earlier this year.

I posted this on another thread ..... if the cotton is the best non bcs bowl, it only makes sense that the ccg loser will sometimes be the logical choice. The logic of not wanting the same team to come back does not make sense to me.

while i dont disagree with you, 'logic' also tells me that taking a team that beat both teams in the conference championship game is hardly unreasonable.
