Can we just run the exact same plays that Stanford does against Oregon?

Why? Stanford got beat by Oregon each of the last 2 seasons. 4 out of the last 6 as well. The only game that was close was last season. Beside the ones Oregon lost. 2010: 52-31 Oregon

2011: 53-30 Oregon

2012: 17-14 (OT) Stanford

2013: 26-20 Stanford

2014: 45-16 Oregon

2015: 38-36 Oregon

Would you prefer I said Utah? Or 2nd half TCU?

No because you are missing the point. It's not the offense that beats Oregon. It's good defenses that win the games for them.

Utah and TCU are an anomaly because of the injury to VA last year.

Regardless....my point is everyone focuses on Stanfords offense as the key to beating Oregon but it's actually been the VERY stout defenses they have fielded.

thats due to the general perception that due to Oreoons temps and flare, you HAVE to have a running offense that takes time off the clock. But if you watch Oregon, that's not completely necessary. The first thing you need is a sound defense that gets stops on first down and doesnt allow themselves to get caught in personnel mismatches. Cuz that's where Oregon makes the hay. They find and advantage, mash the pedal, and exploit it, not giving you an opportunity to remedy it until there's 6 on the board. If youre soudn to begin with (like Stanford and other teams have been) and win the 1st down game, then Oregon is the one searching for the advantage and changing pers and so on. This it the time taker and thus slows the tempo. It's a hard to explain dynamic. Lots of psychology at play with what they do and when the get it going.

So after this 350th sellout, we have to schedule Utah State for the 450th one because they always end up with the 50's. Also, the schedule USU on a 50th sellout ends, they were our 50th 150th and 250th sellout, the streak is broken. Now we have to win against Oregon to keep the winning streak alive, we don't wan HCMR breaking another streak.
