Woman gets stuck on toilet, suffers burns Thu Aug 3, 9:54 PM ET

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - A woman who became stuck to a toilet seat in a shopping mall restroom was treated at a local hospital after paramedics used fingernail polish remover to free her, officials said.

The 53-year-old Council Bluffs woman suffered burns to her skin in the incident, which happened Wednesday, officials with the Fire Department said.

Investigators said they believe someone placed a cement compound on the toilet seat in the restroom at the Mall of the Bluffs.

Investigators say they are treating the case as an assault and vandalism.

The woman, who wasn't identified, told KETV in Omaha, Neb., that the burns are painful and that the incident was one of the most embarrassing moments in her life.

It was on one of the news shows a couple of months ago, 60 minutes or something. The guy was suing KMart I think.

Not funny, but it being on TV is what most likely got this lady. Some sorry people out there for sure.

Maybe it was the saran wrap episode and a ruined pair of Gucci's. ??? If she had used a butt gasket like most women would have saved the embarassment. I'm with you AR what would be more embarassing? I knew of a lady (morbidly obese) who slipped getting out of the tub and was wedged in between the tub and toilet. The FD had to break the toilet apart to free her. DAMN embarassing.

This a very ironic story. When I was a teenager a couple of my friends did this exact same thing to a lady. They used an adhesive cement. The lady had to go to the emergency room with the toilet seat stuck to her ars.

No I was not involved. I didnt know who did it until I was in my thirties and the people that were involved finally fessed up.

She was extremely embarrassed. They had to come in and remove the seat while she was stuck. She flat refused to call for rescue help.

There was the 2003 case in which a man claims he was the victim of such a prank at a Home Depot. The man is asking for three million in damages. However, there have been some reports that he made a similar claim that was proven to be false at a different store.
