We'll stand by the road

If we should lose, we'll stand by the road,
And cheer as the winners go by

What does this mean? Is it something we only say during good times, when we're not losing? A catchy, self serving phrase that we really don't follow?

I'm sure this will be an unpopular stand, but I think we as a fanbase could try to show a bit more class during these tough times. What would Tom Osborne do? (I mean as a fan, not a coach.) Okay, flame away at me for suggesting such heresy.

As far as I know people are just venting their frustrations on message boards and the like. I think the crowds at the games have been "classy" for the most part. I think there'll be another good crowd Saturday night.

A lot of people are complaining about SE comment about "rebuilding". I look at the program right now and see a house that is built with 1x4s, it is still built but not correctly.

I'm willing to give Riley a couple of years to fix it, if he can't, then we can move on to the next one.

Hey, it's okay guys. We're 3-6, just got pasted by the worst team to ever beat us, and we're on our way to the worst season in Husker football history. But, cheer as the winners go by. Be patient. Riley, Banker, and Langsdorf will get this thing turned around. You just wait, after 7 years when he gets his kinds of Oregon State-type players, we might have a winning season.

Cheer as the winners go by - there will be a lot of them, and I guess it's okay if they don't have a red 'N' on their helmet.

I dont recall reading ANY bad press on fans being negitive towards our opponents? what does that have to do with wanting staff changes?
