If you mean just follow the herd and rubber stamp things, yea I guess I have nothing, by the way I was not necessarily referring to the Parella hire , I was just looking back over the last 15 yrs or so. I just don't see the commitment to really go balls out on any hire we make. I am not sure if we have got the best we could have, or we just like to sit in the chair and do our foot stompin. hmmmmm lol

Over the last 15 years we have had 4 different coaches and 2 conferences .

To say we aren't trying to redisvover our niche is a lazy assesment of our program.

I 100% disagree! The coaching hires have been lack luster to say the least, and they have not shown a desire to find the best.

I understand why TO thought Bo would be the guy but he went the cheap route.

EDIT: Bo might have been the guy had TO stayed as AD, but he had to retire and the new AD.. well, we know all about how that went.

How would anyone know this?

You post a nonsensical thread that is essentially a one-sentence generality, which may, or may not, even pertain to the subject of this message board. There was no point whatsoever.

And then you have the nerve to insult people who misinterpreted your non-statement, ultimately following it up with a "foot stomipin" cliche that means nothing.

I've just got to know what inspired you to create this thread. It's essentially like some annoying girl on facebook who posts something like, "Some people need to know when to shut up," which means nothing to anyone other than the person who created it and is really just a plead for attention.

And if anyone on here can look at the hires here in all sports and honestly say we swung for the fences ( and hell maybe strike out ) I will KYA. Somebody will say" well how do you know we didn't try" well I don't think anyone on here can say that with 100% certainty, but if you try hard enough even a " blind hog finds an acorn every now and then " I think you all know deep down that we are "settlers " so where the hell is my straw hat lol

 
Jesus. You really don't get it.

We AREN'T settling. That's why we fired our 9 win coach. And the Super Bowl coach before him. And the coach who went 7-7 before him.

And if you want to replicate Nebraska's glory days, Marko Polo, you'd realize that neither Tom Osborne or Bob Devaney were splash hires. They were calculated risks.

If swinging for the fences is throwing huge sums of money at big names who have no intention of coming to Lincoln, I'll pass.
