OK, I started this last year. The thread disappeared into the interwebs. The problem I think was too many imbeded quotes from all the bumps. I will try to thin these out. With that in mind . . . .

Here's the story on this guy. He's the WKU mascot, and he's a TOWEL. Yes, you heard me correctly. You see, a couple decades ago WKU had a really good basketball coach, and he used to chew on a red towel the whole game becuase he was such a nervous nellie. When they buried him in the late 90's the funeral director had to take a fish scaler to his lips to romove the red dye left from chewing on all those old red towels. They took that red dye residue from his lips and used it as a color prototype, and then mixed up a big batch of red dye. They used the dye to color a bunch of red towels and the uniform for this mascot.....and there you have it. That's the story of how a red towel got to be the mascot for Western Kentucky University.

My son went to school there last year for a semester, so I went down there (from Chicago) for parent orientation, and the Dean told that story in his introductory speech. You can ask any Western Kentucky student or employee and they will tell you the same story.

Their football stadium is very small.
