What Are You Hoping to Hear Tomorrow?

In no particular order:

1) You were right, kid ain't yours

2) Optional textbooks for all student athletes

3) Undefeated in 2015 (just set the bar high, get the team out of the funk...)

4) Play disciplined, physical football for 4Q every week

5) Hookers and/or Blow

I want to hear him say some games mean more than other games. That's one thing that drove me nuts about Pelini and the messages the players were forced to send. You're 8-1, playing at Wisconsin, you win and skate to the championship, you lose you're done. Or, you're returning to your Alma Mater to coach against them for the first time ever. Or, its your first game in the B1G... THe list goes on. Embrace the big games and maybe your teams won't wilt at the first sign of adversity. That's what I hope to hear.

 
I'm hoping SE says April Fool's!!!! You guys really didn't think I would hire a coach from a bottom feeder PAC-12 school who is almost old enough to qualify for Medicare. Surely you didn't think I would fire a 9-3 coach to hire Mike Freaking Riley who finished finished 2-7 in their conference. Then everyone will have a big laugh and everyone can quit pretending that they think this was a good hire only because they know we are now royally screwed for the next 5-7 years if he lives that long.

But seriously, talk is cheap. Everything that needs to be said by Riley will be said in the win/loss column.
