Yah I’d agree on the biggest surprise part for sure. I expected better.  Illinois Rhule even said himself they were caught off guard by a lot of what Illinois was doing- that falls on the coaches. Despite the rocky performance against Illinois, we would’ve won that game had raiola just hit boerkircher on that pass in the end zone

today, was just a systemic no show coming off a bye week… pathetic

One other item worth mentioning.  Unless I missed a game, today was Rhule's worst loss ever as a college football coach.  He has never lost a game by 49 points or more.

Big Read Overreaction. Pretty scaling critique of Rhule, Satt, Foley.    It’s Gary Sharp( who I don’t always like) and not sure of the other one.

We get 12 of these a year and you spend a ton of time posting here, but then you don't watch them?  I have never understood that.  I don't think I have missed a game since 1994.    

Even if I am "working" I still watch it somehow or follow it somehow.

i was working for free,   my daughter bought a house and was putting up new storm doors and new locks and deadbolts.   it took longer at menards for her to pick out the new doors and locks than the actual work to install them.   lol.

Can we be an upstart someday?  It would be such a step up to stumble on a good coach once a decade and have 2 years of success before they get a better job. 
 

Not only do we not hire great coaches…this job is becoming a f#&%ing career killer. Pelini never got a P5 HC offer after we fired him. Riley too (not counting his standing offer to take money from Oregon St) . Scott Frost went into witness protection. I can’t even name an assistant that ever got a real opportunity after us. Maybe Tim Beck for 1 year at Ohio state as co OC?

We have to stop looking at other teams play or even who they have played.  We are not good.  We need to look at what we do, which is nothing.

We should have lost to Rutgers.  I’m glad we played Colorado when we did.  

This team literally did nothing good today.  I think one win is going to be a challenge.  Our only hope is it’s 10 degrees on November 2nd.

 
Amongst the other offensive issues, I keep forgetting to say, the lack of consistent motion and player movement pre snap is infuriating.  We do a little motion once in awhile, but for the most part the defense can see where are from the get go and have no chance for any confusion or players out of position.   Exact opposite of when I watch an Andy Reid coached Chiefs team

It’s the entire team.  There’s something wonky going on.  We see all these videos on teamwork but one thing I’ve noticed this year is how we celebrate compared to other teams.  Our players don’t rally around each other when a big play happens.  It’s odd.  5 guys coming up and doing helmet smacks and what not.

I’ve been staying away from it because I didn’t want to start a fight, but Raiola stands by himself all the time and I hate it.  He wants the spotlight on him and it’s gross.  Make a play brother.  You’ll get the spotlight.

Long rant for effort and culture.  We make great videos, but I’m still not seeing it in the performance.
