What did we learn?- Michigan State

It was definitely an ugly game, but I was impressed with the team pulling out the W on this one. They don't all have to be pretty, but past teams would have lost this game, no question.

One thing I have noticed is that a majority (by my way unofficial count) of the snaps back to DR seem to be at the level of his knees or lower. It seems like he's constantly having to bend down to get the snap, which seems to throw off the rhythm of the play just a bit. Just me?

I think that the statistic I heard was that of 65 points scored in this game, only 17 of them were scored going into the wind- Rhule taking the wind in the 4th quarter was a winning idea.

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!
I see people talking about how bad of a QB rating Dylan had in this game. He didn't have a perfect game. But, with the wind, I'm throwing this game out the window as far as judging his play so far this year in the passing game.

Ultimately, he and the team figured out how to win it. That's all that matters and move on.

I noticed a lot of snaps were low and to the right.

Not that it matters in modern day football, but I read Bill Walsh was anti-shotgun because it forced the QB to take his eyes off the defense for a split second, thus putting the QB a tad bit behind in processing the defense.

The podcast I listened to claimed that Rhule specifically wanted the wind behind in the 4th quarter and chose based on that. What you are saying contradicts what I had heard (not saying it is wrong, there is a lot of bad info out there).

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!

I just re-listened to his post game press conference and he states clearly that they chose the wind behind in the 3rd quarter.

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!
