Why can Illinois turn it around so quickly and we are still trying to gain some measure of respect??

I actually think Indiana is a better example as their coach made them immediately successful in year 1 and has them rolling in year 2 as well. I look for their coach to be promoted to a blue blood by next year. If Alabama struggles this year they may give Deboer the boot, but Clemson would be another program to look out for.
 
Because we don't have a mega-donor putting up millions to get a bunch of guys.
So rude of Teach to not cash out his stocks for us to get a better OT.

On the flip side: we did just this and Pritchett has been a dud so far. Be wary. The portal only has a finite amount of players at certain positions who are legitimately capable of being at this level. And everyone wants them.

Exactly. And LTs are among the highest-pricetags of the group.
