What happened to the word "humble" / "humbling" ?

I humbly disagree and I should know because I'm basically the smartest person on the board and I pretty much know everything. Okay, I'm done humbling myself.

I hear it a lot when people win awards. I kinda get it but it’s still weird to me.

Athletes say it a lot and usually it makes sense when they do but it’s really overused lately.
