What happened with Bill Moos?

I'll be interested to know when he was told he was hiring Scott Frost and by whom.

What do you think would have happened in 2018 if Moos didn't hire Scott Frost?

It's a trick question, because there is no reality in which that wasn't the only real move.

Exactly... there would have been a MELTDOWN greater than anything ever seen if that hire didn't happen

Ugh! My comment wasn't about who should've been hired instead. It was about understanding what the expectations of his hiring at NU, and dud it include a requirement to fire Riley and chase or hire Frost as the next coach.

I couldnt give one s#!t about what this board thinks of the Frost hire three years after his firing.  Guess that wasn't obvious.

Agreed. There's a bizarre revisionist streak in some pockets of the fanbase about that time. It was one of the most obvious hires to make and it was almost universally applauded around the country by fans, coaches, and media alike.
Literally everyone in Michigan I talked to was excited for Nebraska and happy we got him...

Tim Brando said when Scott Frost was hired in Lincoln that Frost was the second coming of Nick Saban.  It was the right move at the time.  It just didn't work out.

The problem wasn't the initial hire.  It seemed like a great hire at the time.  The problem was allowing him to set the program back years by keeping him around way too long.

This. It was pretty clear in year 2, but crystal clear after year 3 it wasn't going to work. Yet they let meddling boosters allow keeping him into year 5.
