What I can confirm

I'm just curious.

Do you guys have a protocol for servicing IBR? Because if you don't have some point of order for just blindly blowing him, then it might get messy.

Anyone's "source" will get a little flighty if he always gets reported on. In my opinion anyway.
Shouldn't some kind of a Mod stop this kind of talk on this board? Of course, I expect no less from NUpolo8. It fits his psychological profile. However, I have to agree with the "source" getting a little flighty. That seems to be a logical thought...Even tho the middle "statement" is rather insipid.

I have a very hard time believing that T.O. isn't looking at his good friend Turner Gill over at Buffalo...I know he's not a fan of Bo's style but I can see why he's looking at him just because fans like Bo. However, to think that Turner, who Tom still talks to once a week, is not in the running is ludicrous.
Actually per College Gameday and Lee Corso :asshat he says his sources say that Turner Gill will be interviewed for the position and he think Turner will be the next HC at Nebraska..

I mean I think Turner has done a hell of a lot for the program coaching the qb's all those years and everything but making him the head coach after only one or two years HCing at buffalo??YIKES..

Just my opinion :cheers

Okay then - BC is honest, hard-working, and obviously knows a LOT about football. I must have missed it, does he think we're a bunch of hicks?

No, I think he called us F***ing hillbillies. The longer I look at that comment, the more I suspect it was directed at fans in general.

Why a new coach? After A&M killed nebraska on saturday, Bill said he was going to try to make the team better next week! I think we should just have total faith in that, and let him do his job.
:rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin

Yea, he says that every week and he has done such a great job at it.

Yeah. He's doing an excellent job. An excellent job, Yeah.

Tubberville???? !CLICK - CLACK!

:hmmph ;)

If Franchione can save his job, my "sources" say that Tubberville is the first choice of Texas A&M.

Also...I'm now sure what kind of staff the new coach would assemble....but, Dan McCarney is on Jim Leavitt's staff at USF.

Is NU looking at Urban Meyer? I know its a long shot but that'd be awesome if we could get him.
No Way he would come to NU..at least i dont think so but who am i to say

Not only Meyer --- but no way any established coach at any school that has sniffed the top 25 the past few years would even remotely consider NU. NU is, I am afraid to say, not a major program anymore and is a fishbowl that most any coach would avoid. It is not a top 25 coaching job. So, do not expect a major coach to come here. the only hope to attract anyone that is proven is to have a disproportionate amount of $ thrown their way. Sort of like Alabama did.

Jerry Moore? That would be something if we were able to snag him.

After the 1972 season, he joined the Nebraska Cornhuskers as receivers coach, becoming offensive coordinator under coach Tom Osborne in 1978.

He won't leave Auburn, he has too much invested with them. Havin had the chance to speak to him personally after a few Montgomery Quarterback Club Meetins, he won't leave and isn't considering leaving AU anytime soon.

I always thought that Turner Gill not Frank Solich should have gotten the HC job when TO retired. I believe it would not be a bad idea to offer it to him now. Especially if Bo decides he has a chance at LSU HC and doesn't want to come back to a messed up NU.

:restore

Well i don't think Carr is out at mich, maybe if they lose to ohio state, but if they do beat OSU then carr stays and Miles stays at LSU

For the record, if Pelini accepts or interviews for a job that doesn't yet exist, then that should tell all that he should not be given a head cocahing job. His lack of loyalty is well documented.
Ok, lets see, he was fired from Nebraska and OU hired him to be Co-DC, then LSU hired him to be the only DC. He couldn't help the situation at Nebraskas, and the LSU thing was a promotion. Is there somethign I am missing on his lack of loyalty?

Also, yes, I think it is a concern he would bolt for the NFL. But that is a realistic concern with any and all coaches we hire these days.

PS - I'm not a Bogazm person. In fact I don't care who we get as coach as long as it is the best person for the job at the time. No homer hires, no "name" hires. Just the best coach based on the resume. One issue I have with Bo - no HC experience.
Michigan fans were calling for Lloyd Carr's head after the first 2 games of the season however now that they are back on track and ranked again I haven't heard anyone calling for him to step down. As long a Michigan can stay strong I don't see Les Miles having the chance to even interview for the job. I think Bo taking over at LSU isn't even an option at this point.

Getting fired certainly wasn't his fault, but that's still 4 jobs in 4 years. Also, if one is to believe that Les Miles is in fact earmarked for the Michigan job, Pelini might just be the LSU coach.

Yep, what coach would want to go to a school that has proven it can win the NC>? (5 times and played for it at least 3 more times)

A very loyal fan base and will treat you like a god if you win. sold out stadium to play in front of.

The nice atheletic facilities. Plus the millions that he would get paid to coach here.

Your right can't see why anyone would coach here might as well be North Dakota.

I disagree. Even with the new contract he negotiated after the Lowder "Jetgate" situation with Petrino, I think he'll jump when a good situation presents itself. I heard that Jimmy Sexton was quietly shopping him around last year. I don't put much stock in what he says about intentions to stay, it's not like he can say "sure, I'm planning on leaving the first time a good team asks me." He absolutely, positively had no intention of leaving Ole' Miss, either.

Luckily this show is still sitting on my Tivo. The only thing I saw Corso say is that "he wouldn't be surprised" if Gill was named HC. He never said anything about sources or an interview being planned.
