What is the most important game of the 2013 season TODAY ?

I personally would say the UCLA game, it will set the tone of the season. If we win we will have high confidence after that. If we lose our confidence will be shot. A big part of the game of football is confidence.

First post by the way. long time lurker. GBR!!

UCLA, I think we will find out alot about our young blackshirts in that game, as far as talent and ability to contain a high scoring offense with a mobile qb

Yea, without the spring game, we will still be rehashing the same stuff on here until fall camp. Made for a LONG offseason last year without the spring game to break it up!!!

Simmer Down Nick! (I WAS TALKING ABOUT "MY COMMENT BEING DUMB") Loosing any game would be big so my comment relating to losing to UCLA was just dumb!
I take it you think larger, bolded text, gets your point across better? You should clarify things like this, since things are said over the internet. Usually when you bold some thing in someone's post, then reply to that, usually means your replying about what they are saying. Next time, just edit it and say what you mean so it doesn't cause confusion ;)

That being said, I am always calm. I don't let the internet ruffle my feathers. I just thought you were saying what I said was dumb, as it wasn't very clear :)
Hmmm, I went back and read it (original post of mine) and I guess I can see where you could infer that I was talking about your comments. I guess I am not very internet discussion savvy about what bolded words mean. I will attempt to be re-read my post prior to posting to see if something could be misunderstood by other posters. I believe we now are on same page at least. :worship

I say UCLA. This would be an awesome in-road to recruiting in California. If we win that game last year I think we have few more of the players on our big board.

UCLA screams night game what do you think?
Yes, easily. Likely one the few games with teams playing each other that are both ranked, and they are supposed to be one of the premier teams in the PAC 12, even though they still have a bit to prove to me still.

We'll learn a lot from this game and many things will be portable to bigger games later in the season...good or bad. We need that game for many reasons.

It's also big for them as they will use it for their national hype and recruiting. A reason I feel they conveniently scheduled a bye their 2nd week after Nevada.

Conference games are more important than non-conference games. Yes, it would be bad if we lost to UCLA, but a successful season really hinges around doing well in the conference and winning the CCG.
