When you don't get a lot of touches, you've gotta make the most of what you get. Was less than impressed w/ Newby this year - considering how well some of our recent freshman backs have performed.
I wonder if he was trying to do to much, given his limited opportunities. Worried too much about making a big play instead of the routine one.

I was actually fairly impressed with him. For being a burner, I thought he ran really hard. Still has lots of room for improvement but I like what I've seen so far - once he secures the ball.

This make the most sense. In the slow-mo replay of that dropped shovel pass, you could see him take his eyes off the ball and start making his play before he had control. It was just a fraction of a second too quick.
