What occupation do you wish you pursued?

Just wondering if people have thought about this?

For me, I wish I would have become a professor. I still could I suppose but I doubt that I ever will. But the idea of being on a college campus my entire adult life sounds awesome (For many reasons, wink wink)

My other choice would have been to own my own business, I really have no idea what that would have been though so it is tough to really consider it.

Also, at one point I did want to go into the sports talk show field but that only lasted about my first semester of college.

I suppose lastly would be a husker message board moderator. But, one can only dream so big.

I should have pursued an only daughter of a wealthy landowner who was pre-med so I could hunt, fish and play; instead of pursuing an occupation. I didn't end up in my occupational pursuit anyways. Otherwise, I wish I had pursued forestry.

I went to college wanting to be in the cattle business either owning or managing a cow calf operation or a large commercial feedlot. In my younger years, I would have been very happy doing that. Now that I'm 50 and my body can't handle physical labor like it used to, I'm much less drawn to that career.

I also almost went into the medical field at one point. If I wished I as doing something different now, it would probably be that. Probably get a nursing degree and then move into something like being a Perfusionist or an Anesthetist.

Statistician or a doctorate in psychometric testing

What do you do now? (I'm a statistician).

As for me, I changed my mind so often while in school. I really wanted to be a dietitian but you have to do an internship while in school (at least at UNL) and the internships are super competitive, so a lot of people go to school for it and don't end up with a degree. That scared me too much so I changed my mind. Another would be computer programmer making video games.

And: First female NFL punter of course. Punter has to be the best job in the world. If you screw up, nobody remembers 10 minutes later. If you do well, everyone's happy. You rarely get tackled.

This is a no-brainer for me. I wish I had pursued my dream job....Major League Baseball Camera Operator. I mean, it's like a summer job and pays great.

MLB Camera Operators earn $96K annually, or $46 an hour.

I'm a filmmaker, and I can't imagine loving anything more, but I wish I had given up on college a lot sooner than I did and had "discovered" or dove into film a lot sooner.

Lucky you! Ha

I always wanted to be in law enforcement, ever since I was a little kid, I grew up around it so it was natural for me to go into that field. As I've gotten older and gotten into weight lifting and exercising more and more I would like to own my own gym someday. Nothing huge, something like an Anytime Fitness or something like that. If the one that is in the city I live in ever goes up for sale I'm going to have a hard time not going after that! I'm not leaving law enforcement though. 15 more years and hello retirement! Maybe I'll buy one just before I retire and that'll be my retirement gig.
