What players leave after the season? 2022/23 version

Yes, in May I believe
It’s good they are trying to get a handle on it. But, what stops a kid from tweeting out two weeks from now “ I intend to enter the transfer portal” and coaches calling him 20 minutes later?

April 15-30.

(It's in the tweet)
Well…I’ll be switched…..it is.

Thanks @Mavric for proving I’m not the only one that didn’t read the whole thing.

Players can be "officially" contacted once they show up in the Portal database.  Now if that gets followed or not...

HOL has us at 95, including IGC but not Betts.

13 WR on scholly (not counting Betts) and we have a couple more visiting this weekend!!!!

10 CB and 9 S also seem excessive.
Since they didn't include Betts is it just bc of the work he has to put into the classroom or bc nobody really knows if he is back on scholarship or not?  Would he be considered a walk on even through he was a former player or did he lose his scholarship the moment he left the team?

Whether or not Betts comes back on scholarship right away, there has to be more attrition in the WR room. We're still offering 2023 guys (Bell, Charles), and there's no way we'd be doing that if we were planning on all 13-14 sticking around. I'd guess Hardy and Jones move on after spring - it's a chance to see where they stand and use the spring semester to get their academics in a good place to transfer. IIRC Hardy is super smart, so he might even be able to graduate and look at grad school options. I kinda like Hill as a WR, but not sure we have the room for him to spend time shaking off the rust and learning to be a major college receiver when he's already a junior.
