What Players Leave After The Season?

Sounds like Rogers had some bad luck and a bad combination of circumstances that led him to at least explore his options.

Was injured to start last year (dislocated kneecap) then tore his ACL on the last play of the Iowa game.  Sounds like he was disappointed that he didn't get a Blackshirt when he came back last year.  Then he was out of the lifting program and practice rehabbing the knee and was apparently not a part of the leadership council anymore.

Sounds like he just felt left out so he decided to look around.  Not sure if they can talk him back or not.

That would make perfect sense as to why he's looking around.  He only has a little bit of time left to play CFB, might as well go somewhere you feel you're wanted (and hey, maybe win some games too).  I'd be taking my pale behind over to USC.  Excellent business school too if he wants to pursue a MBA.

That, and Butler's comments make ya wonder if maybe he wasn't fitting in personality-wise with the rest of the crew.
