I disagree, Colt looked fairly comfortable before being injured in that game and with him in it, who knows what the outcome would have been.Call me a skeptic, but the NC game last year wasn't even played in a bowl game. It was played in the SEC Championship game. I'm not sure any other conference taking their best team could have beatean the top two SEC teams. If I had to bet on which conference could take away the top spot from the SEC, I'd place my bet on the ACC or Big 12 before ever putting money on the Big 10 if there's no more alignments. For 2011, I'd say Ohio State has the best chance to beat a SEC team in the title game. However, I wouldn't put any money on them.
As for the original question as to what the Big 10 must do to overcome the SEC my answer would be to "completely sell out their academics for athletics, specifically football".
