All the forums have topics. The threads started in those forums should be on topic. If they aren't, mods will move them to a more appropriate forum if one exists.

The mod that moved it felt that this thread belonged in the BS forum. :dunno

Better yet How about this Army guy who went into the Army for a VA loan to buy a house and have money for college. Then can't hack it because he thinks the "Man" is holding him down but doesn't realize it is his own reverse racism that he can't see. I'm gonna cut the quote down just to keep the post from getting longer.

I did not lock the topic so I'll let all the personal attacks go. However, I love the fact that you must think I have a boyfriend because I bring up diversity. Just because someone wants to bring someone in that can maybe bring in a new way of thinking or a new look at a topic from you or anyone else does not make them bad. Am I condoning what was done by him? No. However, the fact that someone would go to UNL for a "small-town atmosphere" is not a sustainable argument to me. People go to UNL or any university to expand their education. If they want a small-town atmosphere, head to a community college. Major universities are going to bring controversial people in because it presents an opportunity to see a whole new look at a topic.

I'm done with this topic now, so go ahead and continue.

I can understand why he is upset about this guy coming to UNL, but there is always controversial people speaking at places and there is nothing we can do about it. I for one don't agree with the guy on pretty much anything, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to tie him and Obama together as some are trying to do. Vote for who you think is the best candidate and that is all we can ask. I say this because I can see a little bit of an underlying hatred towards Obama.

FYI topic creator, if you want to protest Bill Ayers excercising his right to free speech at a University that you clearly didn't attend nor do you understand the educational value of, you may want to consider constructing a letter to the chancellor or your local media outlet, rather than posting a rampaging message on Huskerboard where you question the sexuality of a moderator because he moved your topic to the proper forum.
