Texas A&M's Mike Sherman on Tony Jerod-Eddie incident: 'We had a long talk about it'

Coach Mike Sherman said that he spoke to defensive end Tony Jerod-Eddie in regard to the incident in a pile where it appeared Eddie grabbed at the groin of Nebraska's Ben Cotton. Cotton ended up being flagged on the play after kicking at Jerod-Eddie. Sherman added that his team must respect their opponents.

Even though Sherman is not going to suspend him. I would think that a suspension would be in order from the league office as Texas needs to win Thursday to gain bowl eligibility.

That's true. Perhaps the Texas players took a vote and decided to stay home this christmas.

 
If the Big 12 stands back and does nothing, it will be just another indication Beebe has it in for Nebraska. Even Herbstreit and Musburger commented on how the A&M played grabbed Cotton's testicles. If that's not evidence itself, I don't know what is.

What should be done?......suspension of some kind Half? Game?---I would vote half. What will be done....nothing! :steam

 
There is almost no way Beebe can sit by and do nothing. This thing is getting national scrutiny. He *has* to do something. I'm guessing a one game suspension.

 
Beebe is to buys going through facebook accounts to have time to deal with the possible suspension of a texas player.

Just not enough minutes in the day...

I heard that Dan Beebe wrote on Tony Jerod-Eddie's facbook something on the lines of "Thats my boy! I tought you well!"
