What will we be ranked??

IMO we will stay 20th or maybe move up to 19th, but Hunter is right we aren't going to get any credit for beating La. Tech!!!!! Besides who are they to the AP Polls???? ;)

If this is accurate, Cal didn't move on the polls. In fact, there wasn't any movement on the poll.

a LOT of movement on this one. In fact, there's some very questionable moves. How did OU go from 22 to 12 after barely scrapping by UAB? And Michigan? Are you kidding me?? They looked terrible. And ND's now #2 ranking just goes to show how much the media likes to stroke ND's big green slimy one. :bang

i like how they didn't move ND all they way to number 1 after just winning their first game; i guess that would be unseemly.

The previous ratings on the AP are what the teams were at the end of last year. OU finished last year at 22 and are 12 this year. The same goes for the rest of the schools because NU finsihed 24 in both polls last year and started this year at 22. If you'll notice Penn State's previous was #3 and that is where they finished as well.

I know the records are there, but the ranks are the same as last week. The previous rank was from last season. There is no way Cal would stay at number 9 after getting spanked in Tennessee so this is not an updated AP poll, just the records have been added.

 
Will I get flamed if I make the point of who cares what the ranks are after one week of the season? Strikes me these numbers don't really mean much until Conference Play is in full swing. Most teams across the country played cupcakes. Nebraska beats LaTech, Miami loses to FSU...y'all are undefeated, but this doesn't mean you're better.

Just my $.02

(Note this doesn't mean you're worse either, just give the season time to play out first. I THINK Nebraska should end the season Top 15, but as of now, it doesn't matter much.)

unless your Notre Dame. then they declare you National Champions and stated that the rest of the season is just a formality.

 
Hell, if anything, I think they should go down a peg, since they barely beat a GaTech team.

And you're right, what I heard about that game was "Notre Damn avoids a loss on the road to Ga. Tech" and the highlights made it look as ig Notre Dame dominated all game long. No way they make the MNC game.
