What would be your response if Oklahoma and Texas join our conference

Academic All-American status is still a fairly worthless metric, nonetheless. All a player needs for it is to be a starter or get a lot of playing time and maintain a 3.3 GPA. a 3.3 at one school doesn't equal a 3.3 at another.
Is does the major. I went a small state school that wasn't known for it's academics but had one of the best business schools in the miswest....when i went to medical a school I didn't feel any less prepared than many of my classmates that went to Notre Dame, Creighton and Northwestern......so on. Clearly there's something to the more prestigious schools but I do think it can be overblown as well

In the world outside of Nebraska a degree from UNL does not open doors

So a high school student who comes from a middle class to lower class background in your state is not given the tools he or she needs to truthfully find success in this country

Every other BiG state has provided this opportunity for their residence

A degree from UM, UW, IU and Minnesota can change someone's life

With a degree from either university doors will open in cities like NY, Chicago and LA

Texas also provides this same opportunity to their residence

Wow. You just confirmed why everyone hates Michigan grads.

Maybe your dreamy diploma opens the first door after graduation, but the arrogance you displayed above will pretty much guarantee that your rise to prominence and success wil be limited after that.

Hard work and respect will get people a lot further in the long run.

I heard that undergraduate degrees are like what high school degrees used to be. What matters more (in some areas) is what graduate school you went to.

Note: HS friend went to Michigan for undergrad in engineering. Back to Nebraska for masters and doctorate. Is now an engineering school dean.

that 300th sellout game is highly underrated even if it was only ul Lafayette

Right? The crowd, the milestone, the throwbacks, the scoring frenzy, the defensive display. Just a 110% effort. Hell, Martinez even fumbled into the endzone for a TD.

Shoot, the more I think about it a frat affiliation could help you out more than the school you graduated from in certain places.
It would sure help you out more at the business I own. Of course I'd never hire a Michigan graduate regardless of fraternity affiliation. I'm finding them to be extremely delusional.

that would be great, then maybe we can make those classic Indiana vs Oklahoma or Texas vs Rutgers rivalries a reality again...

If Indiana and Oklahoma played, how would we know who is who?

Crimson paperclips vs. "defective" crimson paperclips?

Texas vs. Rutgers might be hard too. Albeit one is to much product and the other a lack of hygiene, but in the end a lot of greasy hair...
