VaTech scores a TD and gets the PAT, but after the game, the TD was petitioned by Husker fans, so they just got the PAT. :cop:

Serious note : VaTech 35 - Huskers 38 (Alex Henery kicks the game winning FG late in the 4th)

This game to us Huskers fans isn't just trying to go 3 - 0, but decisive game that shows the college football world that the Huskers are one step closer to National Spotlight. Hokies fan want to win this game to further their chances of making it in the BCS Championship game.

That is why this is going to be a really good game.

Wasn't there some sort of call like that during a Texas game a few years back? If I remember it was a safety off a fumble, or something equally crazy. The refs had to stop the game in order to look at the rule book, and in the end Texas was awarded one point. Anyone else remember this?

went and looked at the line for saturday and it looks like most places got VT by 3.5 or 5 so hopefully nebraska can upset the gambling folks and come away with the win.

my perdictions is 34-28 neb

 
VT's defense has the ability to make our offense look as if they were befuddled.

our defense looks like it has the tendency to let the opponent get big plays where a big play shouldn't happen.

That is what will happen in this game.

I pick we win from the heart, but the gut says we lose because VT is just good at being VT. Which is creating havoc by their defense.

I got your back man, I remember that. I think it was a blocked extra point where the kicking team touched it and Texas recovered in the endzone for a point. Something like that. Anyway, it happened.

Stats were good, highlights were decent, also not impressed after watching the actual game. NU 35 - VT 19

Most peoples predictions are random guesses based on what they've heard or highlights. Ever seen a kicka$$ movie trailer and you go see the actual movie which turns out to be absolute horsechips? Plenty

I completely agree with the above post and think that Nebraska's biggest hurdle this year is Nebraska itself. I honestly think that if Pelini can keep the team mentally prepared, they're going to prove to be a lot better football team than anyone is expecting. Those yards given up in the first two games were because the team wasn't really "into" the game. The problem that I have is that this current bunch seems to want to play at the level of their opponent rather than putting them away with an exclamation point. However, given proper mental preparation and knowing that this is a BIG game, I think you'll see a way different team on Saturday.

The team that lost to VT in Lincoln last year was light years behind the current team. They were newborns in Pelini's system, and they grew all year. Remember how the pundits said that we weren't supposed to beat Clemson in the bowl? We KEPT Clemson in that game or the score wouldn't even have been as close as it was. This is year two and I don't see the errors that I saw last year. The only thing that I can really fault them for is their intensity and some laziness that resulted in some breakdowns and poor pursuit, but that won't be a factor on Saturday against a quality opponent. They should be sharp and this game could be a real shocker.

Much like everyone else on this board, I have my reservations about getting too high for a big game with lots of expectations, only to hit rock bottom when they are thoroughly outplayed AND or get beat in the last seconds (See TX Tech '08). I'm sick of hearing about how long it's been since we went on the road, because it's gotta and will end sometime...Saturday is that "Sometime"!

Nebraska breaks through and shocks a whole lotta people on Saturday....
