Thought David Archer gave us some trouble with his arm that day. Was either 72 or 76-29. Don't know if they were sympathy points. Maybe I'm remembering wrong game.Don't remember the record of the ones I attended as a fan but can relate the ones I played in:
1980 - Didn't play but stood on the sidelines and watched the massacre - NU 35 to 0
1981 - Played on the kick return team...got a lot of time on the field... <_< NU 30something to 7
1982 - Special teams and a couple of 2 TE sets...got knocked down...NU 40something to 9 or 10
1983 - Played a whole lot..got beat horribly NU 70ish to 20something sympathy points....
Maybe I should attend more games?
Speaking of memories (this is totally off-topic and may have been posted before, so forgive me), but in one of those Tier One ads with Coach McBride, he recalls a 1978 Colorado game where we fell behind by 14 early and freshman linebacker Mike Knox told him to calm down "It's only Colorado!" I believe Knox would have been a sophmore in H.S. in '78. No big deal, I guess, but it's not a cocktail party, it's a freaking commercial. Maybe a little fact checking is in order.
