That is certainly a hot take.  I honestly don't know how you could deduce talent from what we've seen.  Not saying it isn't there, but I see very little evidence.

We lost to Northwestern after leading by 11 in the third and 4 in the fourth.

We lost to Georgia Southern despite leading with one minute to go.

We had the ball with a chance to take the lead on our last possession against Purdue.

We had the ball with a chance to tie/take the lead on our last possession against Minnesota.

We lost to Wisconsin despite leading with one minute to go.

All of that despite running a new offensive scheme this year and a defensive system change mid-year.

We aren't getting blown out by everyone.  We aren't that far off.  We need to make a few more plays here and there.
