When did Memorial Stadium lose it's "it" factor?

The stadium has the same "it" factor it always had... it just doesn't as often have as good of a team playing in it.  When the team is playing well, such as they did against  #7 Michigan State 2015, people point to it as a tough place to play.

The minute we fired frank solich and started hiring coaches that never belonged. Hopefully, Frost will get us back on track. It might take some time, but he will get us there. We just need to be patient for him to recruit the right type of players. Riley’s recruits are the wrong type for BiG football. Until then, no one fears playing in Lincoln anymore. It is where other teams come to make a statement.

Exactly.  Once the team gets better, they'll regain that home field advantage.

Those years when freakin' Texas kept beating us.  Those losses were soul crushing.  I hate that school!

Edit to add that Cheesehusker beat me to it, but we agree.  Those damn Bonghorns.
