When was the last time there was a great WHITE running back? <_<

Put him at WR or slot.
When was the last time there was a "GREAT" white WR or slotback? Wes Welker @ Tech? Not "GREAT" or game changing IMHO
I could not be more tired of the "next great white" anything talk! Color has nothing to fu@k!n do with how good of an athlete you are, how elusive you are, or how good of a football player you are. RB or otherwise. These types of psuedo racist ideas only make you sound like a complete jacka$$. Enough already!!!

Evidence??

I voted for RB, but honestly think when looking at his tapes that he's a safety. He has some OK ball carring skills, and good lateral movement. But doesn't show alot of agility. I haven't seen one spin move out of him yet. (And no I don't claim to be an expert on the guy, I just haven't seen it on any of his film.)

As for him playing WR! :laughpound now that's a funny!!! Maybe he could long snap and kick to! All at the same time! I know there hasn't been a great deal of confidence in our returning WRs. But I feel most of those fears a unfounded. We do have talented big body recievers in the system who are much faster, and more experianced at the position. From what I've seen of Rex he wouldn't be more than a slot reciever at best. What a waste of talent that would be. It would rank right up there with Bobby Newcombe's last few seasons!

If we need a guy to fill that role, I think Mendoza would be first to move. Burkhead just isn't fast enough and/or tall enough to beat out the guys we already have. Just my opinion, but it's also true! ;)
I think you need to go back and watch more of his tapes. He has some spin moves, but even more impressive his his ability to stop on a dime and juke people out of their jocks. This kid is the real deal, and the people who are knocking him because the color of his skin, need to GTFO of this thread.

1990s he would have been a WB, Rover or OLB. He played in one of the state's best districts for one of the state's best team with the most state titles and against the best comp and he was a STAR! He's not from Nebrska 6 or 8 man football, he was as Texas 5A star!

You seen any of that agility out of Castille?

We need to create a new position called "Percy Harvin" and put him there.

Edit:

Nate Swift?
Jordy Nelson was an All-American and was 6'3" 215 and ran a 4.4 at the 2008 combine! Lache Seastrunk has shakey hands and is smaller, burkhead is a solid 200 plus back, Lache is 180-85 range.

He will probably end up being RB he is like right in between Helu and Castille. Little agility and power, but good speed. You can work on a agility and power but not necessary flatline raw speed. But i wouldn't object to him playing slot if he hands are that good. It would be like watching the Patriots first down everytime with a quick slant to Welker(Burkhead).

For his size absolutely. Agility isnt Q's problem, coughing up the rock is.

i guess im the only one that saw any agility from burkhead, he seemed to have plenty to me!
No you are not. I have watched his tapes many times, and I saw bigtime agility. He running style reminds me alot of Eric Crouch to tell you the truth. I think this kid is too good not to see the field this year.

Will someone embed his highlight video, so people can see what kind of athlete we are talking about here. I don't know how to do it, or I would.

I don't know about the "too good to not see the field this year." Sounds like another case of the dreaded "Latest and Greatest Syndrome." (see Green, Cody, and Keller, Sam.)

He does look good against high school competition (I know, I know Texas 5A) . . . but so does every other 3+ star player. Let them at least play a college down before they are hyped to be the next heisman winner.
