Where Was Q

Walk-on
Very very disturbing trend we are seeing. Not only was the D apparently absent in the game yesterday, but some of them don't seem to be too concerned about giving up 600+ yards to BALL STATE!!!

We were at the embassy after the game and guess who was there with a tall one in hand drinking and goofin off directly after the game?....

I'd been wondering why he wasn't at the latest post-game press conferences and now maybe I know.

Corey McKeon was in the Embassy drinking and hamming it up with some friends.

Now I was there as well so let me not be the first to cast a stone, but should one of the starters on D and supposed leaders on the team be seen out drinking and partying so soon after any game and esp. one we nearly lost.

I was with a friend who attended the U during the hey days of the mid 90s and he commented as to the fact that they never saw the players out at the bars and esp. not directly after the game.

I have been a long time lurker on the site and this is my first post so if I blew up some etiguette please forgive.

Just a distubiung observation as to the direction and focus of this years team IMHO :hmmph

Interesting. I would say no, he should be back in his apartment punching holes in drywall or something.

haha.

As far as absence at the press conference. I believe the way it works is that the press submits players that they want to hear from. Then the player can come out, or I guess not.

Do you know if Cory was requested?

Welcome to the board and that is very disturbing! This shows you that he doesn't need to be on the field. I would be at home pissed off or in the weight room blowing off some steam after that performance!

No, I do not Know. I would assume that he was not requested as he would have likely been there. Sorry, maybe that shouldn't have been the subheading for the thread topic.

I would like to see some independent confirmation of this before I start saying anything. No offense huskrfj but being a new member I don't know if I believe this.

I believe this, I have seen Cory downtown during the football season getting wasted numerous times over the past few years....too many times to count in fact. This guy definitely thinks he is better than he really is, in my opinion. Not acting like a leader at all. Quite Sad

Interesting how he is always available to make ajoke or laugh it up when things are going well.

However where is he to stand up to some critics.

Saw him outside the game near Husker Authentic with Bo Ruud. Didn't look happy, but didn't look mad either. Just looked kind of stunned imo.

That was an OVERreaction . . . :)

I cannot stop laughing at the drywall comment. I went to a large high school in Florida with a big HS football program , and saw some of those meatheads bash their heads against cinderblock walls for fun at a party one night. It totally changed my perception on student athletes to this day.

LMFAO! That was classic!
Probably has an agreement with the landlord to do a little attitude adjustment before being mean to drywall.

(Assuming the drywall wouldn't win that encounter).

I'd do the same thing..not dwell or brood over a bad game(s). but try to put the game in perspective..maybe get laid.

All I can hope is that he ended up drinking away the memories of the past 20 months and picks up where he left off in 2005.
