I think at least one will be fired. I think McCarney's gonna go. Since he was hired, they were supposed the biggest challenge for the North. Well now they're 0-6 in Big XII play. He hasn't really done anything since he's been there.

 
I think mccartney gets fired, the ISU fans want more, and they are regressing.

I have read some speculation on the possibilty of Leach to miami, and the biggest OU fan I know belives Stoops leaves for the NFL, but I dont know about that one.

Pinkel and Fran wont be fired. Though that is probly better for the rest of the conference than it is for thier programs. I dont think either of them is capable of taking thier teams to the champ game.

 
If I had to pick, it's Coach Mac from ISU, because they have underachieved. A lot of his staff, including Barney Cotton will be gone though imo. But I don't think any head coach will be fired in the Big XII.

 
I really don't see McCarthy being fired this year. I think he will be asked to make some changes and a lot of his staff will be replaced. But I don't see him being fired.

Franchoine's firing will depend alot on how is does in his last two regular season games. He has never beat OU, TU, or NU while at aTm. If he can beat one or both of NU and TU then he will probally be safe, but two ugly loses will really put his job in question.

Prince, Mangino, and Hawkins all will get a pass because of new contracts that would cause buying them out to be a huge mistake for the Universities.

Morris, Gundy, Leach, and Pinkel all have their programs playing well this season.

While firing Callahan, Stoops, or Brown would just be downright stupid.

 
I dont see McCarney going. ISU has a decent program that competes.

I dont see Hawkins going either. He gets "no negative opinions aloud" for three years despite the record, and then a few more years after that to see what his recruits can do. CU is stuck with him for minimum of five years.

Just being silly of course. But sincere a little. Some.

 
Mac may not get fired but he is going to have to clean house like Frankie did to try and save his job. Once again Barney-Ball is going to move to another town. Man I wish we still had that guy as our OC. :sarcasm

I also love how some folks were saying how Hawkins could win with any level of talent because he is such an awesome coach. Look how Boise moved on without him and CU sucks worse this year then they have in a long long time. Maybe it is just a weird year or maybe he just isn't as good as some wanted us to believe. <_<

McCarney is feeling heat and aknowledges he may not be around next season.

Even prior to a meeting with athletic director Jamie Pollard on Tuesday night, Iowa State head coach Dan McCarney expressed doubt that his tenure as dean of Big 12 Conference head coaches would extend past this season.
