Which will help our BCS ranking? They are out Sunday.

Agree we'd be better off playing unbeaten Texas at the end. If OU wins, they are in the drivers seat for the south even when we beat them the first time, so they'd have 3 losses going into the CCG.

 
OTOH, if the goal is to win the B12, we probably have a better chance of beating OU, but who knows how strong they will be by the end of the year. But your question asked about the BCS ranking.

at this point a Husker win over TT should be all we give a damn about...the other stuff we have no control over means nothing......who cares? focus on Tech.

The point is I don't want the Huskers to Play Oklahoma twice! I think it would also help recruiting if we played Texas in B12 Championship and won.

Can someone on this board enlighten me as to why someone would make a post such as the one above???

The original question is a common discussion in thousands of workplaces and homes across NE, yet someone has to try and ruin the discussion. Is there something bad that would happen if we don't focus on Tech? What if the fans look past Tech and are thinking about Oklahoma? Does that increase our chances of a loss because we weren't focused on Tech?

I can see the headline on Sunday "NU Loss Due to Fans Looking Ahead at OU".

Anyway, I like the idea of winning out and finishing in the top 10, it seems like that would be a huge leap forward in just two years. Our offense needs to start putting together some drives and get some rhythm back.

I just want to be in a Bowl that is broadcast on regular 'free' TV. :)

The BCS people are too busy to worry about Nebraska right now. They're currently in their laboratories trying to figure out how to put a three or four loss Oklahoma team in the national championship game.

 
We are out of the rankings.

and i must say we kinda deserve it.

We were ranked 13 when we lost of #11 Vatech and we dropped to #25. A loss to an unranked TTU where they had us by 3 scores, its no surprise we are unranked now.
